A brief guide to ππ ππ¨π
Guide to ππ ππ¨π menu
Notes is the bloggiest part of this blog, where I recommend writing I find valuable, complain about journalism I find irritating, and make brief observations about how technologies shape learning and how we might, in turn, shape technologies to make our institutions better.
Log collects my shorter writing exploring the social contexts for understanding questions about using the technologies we call AI in teaching and learning.
AI Log teaches collects essays, reports, and materials about my experience using and teaching generative AI in the classroom.
AI Log reviews books collects essays about books that have helped me think about social and educational problems entangled with AI.
AI Log speaks showcases my talks, workshops, and podcast appearances. Writing and teaching donβt pay much, so this is how I try to make a living wage.
William James is now retired from the main menu but still links to long-form essays that use the nineteenth-century ideas of William James to explore the social contexts of twenty-first-century technology.
What and why I write
The ππ ππ¨π tells two stories about the history behind the name of this blog.
Welcome to ππ ππ¨π starts with a brief overview of the blog and degenerates into jokes and commentary about writing on the internet.
The ππ ππ¨π Rolls On explains why I shifted from writing weekly posts to longer-form essays and describes ideas that are important to my writing.
My friend and role model, Lance Eaton of AI + Education = Simplified, posted an interview with me. For those who like to watch or listen, here I am on an episode of the podcast My Edtech Life.
